Going dark.

plagerist
So, I had mentioned over on my Everyday El-Jay that I was going to be determining whether or not to continue with ...quixotic or not, and I have come to the decision to go on a pseudo-hiatus.

What does "pseudo-hiatus" mean?  It means that the comic will still be here in it's current form so that, if y'all want to view the older comics, y'all can.  It also means that I'll like be posting my little squid drawings from which the comic originally derived but without me having to come up with punch lines. <--Which is totally not hard to do, stack sitting here waiting to become comics.

Most importantly, it also means that I won't feel guilty when I don't have the time or the inclination to post a little squid picture because that's been the problem:  I have a zillion things going on (which you wouldn't think so with the full-time artist gig, but I always feel so--busy. <-- I don't really think that I'm actually busy; I think it's an illusion.

Or a maneuver.

Or something.

I am, however, trying to get the business running (or, at least, be a business by technicality) while continuing my art practice, and there's a job floating around that I might yet get.

So, ...quixotic or not as a weekly comic is getting the ax.

If, for some reason that I cannot possibly fathom, y'all just can't live without my crazy silliness, I do keep a studio blog on Wordpress called quixotism and curiosity:  from the tentacle-made studios where y'all can find me most of the time.

We've had a good time, I think.

Courage.

loooooooooooooooooooong week

What with the SOPA/PIPA and sample making and all, I'm absolutely amazed that I finally am getting the comic up this week.

...

...

So, it's a bad joke. Really.

Anyone ever had takoyaki? I had it when I was in Baltimore a couple of years ago; it was tasty. *is a cannibal*

I got distracted today.

And, because of that distraction, I really haven't gotten to the comic today. <--Too much stuff going on, ya know?

So, to tide y'all over, a blast from the past: a comic from the Hourly Comic Day Challenge 2010.

Maybe I'll participate again this year.

Courage.

Too much of everything this week.

Too much stress. Too much politics. Just too much of everything, and it's kinda making me hate the universe today.

*hands*

So, first comic of the New Year. It's not meant to demean or undermine the Occupy people remotely; it's just a comedic device here.

Yay! It's the end of the year! There'll be a new one tomorrow (in theory)!

I hope there's a new one. *frets*

We love you, Jesus-penguin! Give us a new year tomorrow!

*sacrifices a brisket* <--We're watching the Big Bang Theory Marathon.

Happy Yule!

And Happy/Merry Solstice, Saturnalia, hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, Squidmas, Mithra’s Birthday, Frau Holle’s Day, Festivus insert-your-chosen-celebration-here!

I've been greatly remiss in the last month getting anything posted here or letting y'all know that nothing was going to be posted.

I have no excuses.

I might have a good reason, though.

My compatriot, 'Lain, has been staying with The Husband and I for a bit, and she's been living in our Identity Crisis Room (i.e., office, library, and my digital art center). Because of this (and the wacky hours she's been working) getting at my digital art station has been--problematic.

Therefore, please don't expect a comic before the New Year (I might get it done, but *hands*).

Happy holidays!

Y'all are getting recycled comics. One from Thanksgiving 2008 and one from September of this year.

If nothing else, y'all can see how the styles have changed dramatically in a couple of years.
